Download the panel

One file installs the Premiere Pro panel and the After Effects panel. No account needed to download. macOS (Apple silicon) and Windows. After Effects needs version 24.0 or newer.

Get the ZXP Installer

A .zxp file is not double-clickable. You need a free installer to put it into Premiere Pro and After Effects. Download ZXP Installer from aescripts (macOS and Windows), install it, and leave it open.

Install it

Quit Premiere Pro and After Effects. Make sure the Creative Cloud desktop app is running and signed in. Adobe blocks extension installs otherwise. In ZXP Installer, open the settings gear and tick "Install for current user only". Without it the install can hang with no error. Then drag the .zxp onto ZXP Installer. Reopen either app and find the panel under Window, Extensions, Mistake Detector.

Scan

Open the panel and click Scan. It scans the full project and lists every mistake with its location. Your first two scans are free.

Keep scanning

After two free scans, Scan needs a licence key, $24 once.

Get the key

After you pay, create an account at mistakedetector.com with the same email address. Your key appears on your account page. Paste it into the panel once. One key covers both panels on one machine at a time.
